Psychometric Audit Report
Earlier this year, Yardstick Testing and Training Experts was mandated by CISRO to conduct a psychometric audit of the LLQP Exam. This consisted of an evaluation of the exam against testing standards to determine how well it achieves its objective of identifying competent entry-level life insurance agents. After it's publication, stakeholder comments were received and Yardstick produced an amended report. The results of this exercise confirm that many of the processes followed to develop the exam align with best practices, and also serve to identify opportunities for further improvement.

Subject Matter Experts
To ensure the harmonized LLQP is up-to date and relevant to industry practice, industry Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) have been recruited to work with the educational specialists. SMEs have already been selected to work on curriculum development and study material development. Work will begin on exam question development in early 2015 – there are opportunities to apply to be a SME.
The Harmonized LLQP exam will be an open-book exam. During exam sessions, candidates will be given access to the standardized exam preparation material on an electronic tablet. The following documents outlines the tablet features that candidates may wish to use to complete their exam. Course Providers should consider including these guides as part of their training material to ensure their students will be adequately prepared for the Harmonized LLQP exam.
For Course Providers wishing to certify candidates using questions similar to those that will be integrated in the LLQP exam, CISRO is releasing the exam question drafting and review guidelines that are used by its subject matter experts to develop the LLQP exam questions.
Accreditation of Course Providers under the new LLQP has now begun. In order to determine whether they are eligible, organizations must meet the following criteria:
Eligible organizations must submit their accreditation request using the following form. Submissions are taken on an on-going basis. Submissions must include all required documentation to demonstrate that the proposed training program covers the full scope of the LLQP Curriculum. Please take note that due to the implementation of the harmonized LLQP program, CISRO will start examining all new submissions in March 2016.
Once Course Providers have obtained their national recommendation, they will be invited to sign the following agreement with the Autorité des marchés financiers, service provider for the LLQP. This will entitle them to a obtain a copy of the standardized exam preparation material and develop their derivative works, if applicable.
The final step of the accreditation process will be to obtain an authorization from each jurisdiction in which the Course Provider wishes to offer its training program.
The Detailed Planning of the LLQP study material, which sets out the contents of the exam preparation manuals as well as the order in which they will be addressed, is still available upon request.
